What learners said after the desk cooled down

I came in thinking our QR pane was “safe enough.” The Signing rehearsal module in Offline Signing Desk Review caught that we were still browsing release notes on the same machine. Embarrassing, useful.

Intake freeze photography templates saved our junior ops an afternoon of guessing which angles matter.

Short take from Gwangju: the memo close rubric is stricter than our internal wiki, in a good way.

Office hours helped, though the Vault Critique waitlist was longer than I hoped. Content itself stayed grounded.

Case study: reseating a co-signer handoff

Context

A three-person ops team near Mokpo used Cohort Desk to rewrite how a spare co-signer device entered the air-gap room. They had no incident — they wanted cleaner notes before a staffing change.

What changed

After the Boundary map exercise, they labeled three media paths (QR only, write-blocked USB for firmware hashes, paper for emergency recovery phrases stored separately). The final memo cited timestamps from a dry-run PSBT and listed two open questions for legal counsel — outside our educational scope, which we flagged.

Limitation they reported

They still lacked a shared camera for seal photos; the lab cannot supply hardware. The worksheet assumed a phone that never joins the signing VLAN — a policy they had to invent themselves.

Case study: firmware provenance notebook

Context

A freelancer in Incheon completed Bench Pass, then bought the firmware elective. Goal: stop trusting “download links from chat.”

What changed

They built a one-page provenance log: vendor site URL, hash, signing key fingerprint, and who verified it. The Offline Signing Desk Review intake section now references that log before power-on.

Neither case involves investment recommendations. Reviews describe educational process only.
